Hey Natalie,
Although I like the combination of the photographs and gradient color, I don't think they match your illustrations of the frog and car. You spent so much time on your illustrations I definitely think you should go with them. With that said, the images and color match your style board beautifully.
Also, the images of the children appeal to parents while the frog appeals to children as well as parents. This would be a lot of work, but you could have one system cater towards parents and one towards children.
I hope those points help a little bit. I am still pro frog and car, they are cute and are cartoonish enough that kids and parents both like them.
